36 Week Update

How far along:  36.5 Weeks (gotta count that half)!

Baby Size: A head of romaine lettuce

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  +20

Maternity Clothes:  Yes

Stretch Marks:  No, but my belly button is starting to poke out, which didn't happen the first time.

Sleep:  Some nights I sleep all night, some nights I barely sleep.  

Best Moment this Week:  We finally picked a name! (If you know what it is please don't tell)! 

Miss Anything:  Feeling normal

Movement:  Yes, lots!

Food Cravings:  The other day I had a Cherry Limeade from Sonic and now I want one every. single. day.  Thank goodness they have a diet version!

Gender:  Boy

Looking forward to:  Finishing the nursery THIS weekend!

Difference this time around:  Basically everything.  I was done being pregnant at 36 weeks last time thanks to preeclampisa.  I was induced and felt zero pain thanks to all the drugs I was on (I also barely remember her being born thanks to those drugs), but needless to say this time is looking to be a lot different and I am quite terrified!

28 Week Update

As promised in yesterday's post, here is my most recent baby update.

How far along? 28 Weeks

Baby Size: A large eggplant

Total weight gain/loss: Ugh, no clue, but these damn Girl Scout cookies aren't helping. 

Maternity clothes? Yes.  Gotta buy some more spring stuff!

Stretch marks? Nope, but my skin is stretching so much that it feels like it's burning --- VERY uncomfortable!

Sleep: 9 hours straight every night...loving it!

Best moment this week: Going out of town this weekend...excited for a little getaway!

Miss Anything? I miss regular clothes!  

Movement: Yes!

Food cravings: Sweets...trying my best to stay away!

Gender prediction: It's a BOY!

Looking forward to: This whole thing being over...I hate being pregnant!

Differences this time around: Unlike with Rowen, we really don't need to buy much for this baby other than clothes, which is really nice - we have almost everything we need!

23 Week Update

How far along? 23 Weeks

Baby Size: A large mango

Total weight gain/loss: Ugh, probably close to 10lbs 

Maternity clothes? Yes, I live in these leggings and yes, leggings are considered pants when you're pregnant.

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: Still good! 

Best moment this week: Going to IKEA and picking up a few things for the nursery!

Miss Anything? Running...I miss it soooo bad!  I cannot wait to start again the first chance I get!

Movement: Yes!

Food cravings: None - I'm lucky if I even have an appetite most days.  I mostly eat cereal and muffins, HA!

Gender prediction: It's a BOY!

Looking forward to: Picking a name for this little guy...we have our top three, just have to make a final decision!

Differences this time around: I feel like this baby is going to be MUCH bigger than Rowen was, which scares me!  Eeek!

It's a boy...

Yesterday, we were able to see all the details of our baby at the 20-week ultrasound appointment.  All the little fingers, toes and a cute little nose, too!  We saw all the movements, like waving its hand, kicking its feet and turning from side to side.  Then the technician asked, do you want to know the gender?  "YES", we said!

Ryan and I were grinning ear-to-ear when we heard the news, and happy to finally know more about this little guy and to start thinking of names for him.  We (for the most part) had our name picked out if it was going to be a girl, but we have yet to settle on anything for a boy.

Here is a picture of Rowen when we told her the news later that evening (video in my instagram sidebar).  I wanted to make it fun for her, so on my way home from work I stopped and bought a few blue balloons for her to play with!  Needless to say, she is super excited to be a big sister to a little brother and we can’t wait to watch her in action!

Now that we know, my next step will be putting together his nursery…I have a feeling these next few months are going to fly by! 

A lot to be thankful for this year!

Ryan, Rowen and I are super excited to announce that we are adding another member to our family come May!

There is definitely a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
